In Memoriam

This blog is dedicated to the memory of Sofia Tussis (1989-2011)

Sofia was a committed activist who played her part in the noble mission of citizen journalism, relating local events and personal stories to concerns shared all over our globalised world.
Sofia's outstanding talent for writing, remarkable analytical and creative skills and very genuine freedom of mind were the qualities most appreciated by her passionate readers.

Yet, it wasn't the artistic flair or rhetorical craft that drove me to love Sofia.
Rather, the Sofia I knew was the most sunny, smiley, positive human being I have ever had the chance to meet in my life. A voracious listener always able to give me the right advice.     A fellow curious spirit with whom it was easy to dive into new adventures. A fair tender heart keen to ease the sorrow of others.

I met Sofia at a cloudy time in my life and she gave me strenght and taught me to have faith in the others. She was good at making me feel as I really mattered. In many ways I wouldn't be the man that I am today without Sofia's help and contribution.

Let Mr. Joy and Mrs. Love join you for a noisy dance wherever you are, darling.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sight
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.
